WOMAN SUES AFTER ARREST CAUGHT HER NAKED REAR END ON VIDEO
Monday, November 02, 2009

Lauren R. Harrison

Wearing pajama bottoms outside can lead to a case of exposure.

A former Naperville resident's pink Hello Kitty pajama bottoms slid down her hips while she was being arrested on an outstanding warrant in Naperville last year, and it was all caught on camera, according to a federal lawsuit filed Thursday.

Chelsea Frederick and her sister Ferrara Daum, who was also at the scene, say their right to privacy was violated when cameras for the Biography Channel series "Female Forces" taped the arrest, focusing on the "indecently exposed skin above the waistband of [Frederick's] pajamas" without authorization.

The suit was filed against the Biography Channel, A&E Television Networks LLC, which aired the episode; the producers, the Greif Co.; and the city of Naperville.

According to the suit, a member of the camera crew asked Frederick to sign a release form authorizing the use of her identity while she was in a holding cell, and she refused. Daum was never asked to sign a release, the suit said. Episode 5 of "Female Forces" was broadcast in November 2008.Frederick said she was upset by the whole ordeal, when reached Friday evening. "I don't really want this publicized," she said. "That's the whole reason I'm doing this, so it's taken off the air."
