Mundy v. United States
Area of Law: Employee Benefits/Labor Law
State Filed: California
This was a case against the U.S. Government based on our client having lost a security clearance which was required for his employment at a defense contractor and resulted in the termination of his employment.
The issue involved in this case was the negligence of the government when they conducted a background check of the client which resulted in his termination.
The lower court granted judgment for the government which argued that they were immune from suit. We appealed and that decision was reversed on appeal.
