Mary-Ellen attended college at Auburn University, receiving her BA in International Trade in 1994, followed by graduate studies in the Department of Foreign Languages. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law in 1998, she has been in private practice since that time.
Mary-Ellen is licensed to practice before the Alabama Supreme Court and all lower state courts, as well as the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mary-Ellen focuses her practice in various areas of litigation, including personal injury, employment discrimination and business torts. In addition to litigation, Mary-Ellen and her firm provide general services including will drafting, entity formation, contract drafting and risk management advice.
In addition to her practice, Mary-Ellen has served as an adjunct professor of Torts and Conflicts of Laws at the Birmingham School of Law, has given seminars at legal conferences, and served on the Board of Directors of various volunteer and charitable organizations.
