Douglas G. Johnson's entire legal career has involved representing injured individuals; including seamen and their families in litigation arising from serious vessel injuries and deaths. Doug has extensive experience going after insurance companies and their agents who wrongfully withhold medical care and maintenance to which injured seamen are entitled. Having spent a number of years living and working in South America, Doug is fluent in Spanish. His past experience operating and working on heavy equipment gives Doug great insight when representing seamen and dockside workers injured in relation to the commercial vessel trade. Having represented the spouses and children of seamen killed in vessel sinkings, Doug has the knowledge, experience and compassion necessary to make sure a seaman's loved ones are protected and provided for following tragic losses. Doug lives in the Anchorage area, and is an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Doug serves on many Alaska legal committees, including the Admiralty Section of the Alaska Bar Association. Doug served as the President of the Alaska Academy of Trial Lawyers; and is presently on the Alaska Academy of Trial Lawyers' Board.
