Mr. Walkon was born and raised in Michigan. He attended Michigan State University and graduated with honors in 1985. He attended law school at ABA-accredited Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan. Mr. Walkon was admitted to the California Bar in 1989. Between 1989 and 1994, Mr. Walkon defended physicians and hospitals accused of Medical Malpractice. 

Mr. Walkon opened his firm on December 16, 1994 and has been representing individuals utilizing the skills and experience he gained during years on the defense side.
