My name is Athar, and I am a Family Law Specialist certified by the State Bar of California’s Board of Legal Specialization. I started practicing law in 2008 as an intellectual property lawyer. In 2011, my legal career took an unexpected turn when I found myself navigating the complex family court system following a divorce. Then, I realized the importance of having real courtroom experience as a lawyer.

 I decided to volunteer as the City Attorney of Los Angeles, where I gained invaluable experience representing the People of the State of California in court daily, handling court appearances and jury trials by myself. I then took my newfound courtroom skills and immersed myself in family law by volunteering at the Legal Aid Society of Orange County. In 2015, I officially launched my family law practice and have been helping clients navigate family law's complex and emotional terrain ever since. I take pride in being there for my clients, not only as their lawyers but also as compassionate and understanding advocates during one of the most challenging times of their lives. 

My experience in family law has allowed me to help clients with a wide range of legal issues, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, property division, and domestic violence restraining orders. I understand that every client's situation is unique, and I approach each case with a personalized and practical approach. My primary goal is to help my clients achieve their desired outcomes while minimizing the emotional and financial toll that legal battles can take. Being a family law attorney is not just a job but a calling. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to help clients navigate the legal system and protect their rights and interests. My passion for helping others drives me to give my clients the best possible representation and constantly strive to improve my legal knowledge and skills.
