Linda Luna Lara is a partner of LARA & LUNA APC and is dedicated to enforcing employee's rights in the workplace and prosecuting claims against employers for discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower retaliation and wrongful termination. She has successfully represented a wide variety of employees, from executive management to hourly staff, who work in different industries. She has recovered over millions of dollars in settlements for her clients. Her litigation experience includes obtaining verdicts in jury and bench trials, participating in arbitrations, opposing motions for summary judgment, taking depositions and successfully litigating matters to conclusion for her clients against employers who violate the law. Ms. Lara has been featured on the cover of the Orange County Lawyer Magazine as the "Employee's Advocate", has been named as a "Super Lawyer", and has a rating of 10/10 on AVVO. From a very young age, Ms. Lara nurtured a passion for the rights of employees which she gained not only by navigating through injustices not only in her own workplaces, but also those of her family members.
She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2005 and has spent several years successfully prosecuting claims of illegal discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and wage and hour violations, on behalf of employees whose legal rights were violated in the workplace. Prior to co-founding LARA & LUNA APC, Ms. Lara practiced with respected litigation firms in Orange County in the areas of employment law, class actions, insurance defense, and personal injury. Ms. Lara gained valuable experience handling trials on her own very early on in her career. Ms. Lara also served as in-house corporate legal counsel for a major international airline. As part of her duties Ms. Lara managed and oversaw outside legal defense counsel in connection with investigation of employment claims, class actions and intellectual property issues. This experience provided Ms. Lara with critical insight into the legal relationships between companies, any insurance adjusters, and outside legal counsel. Ms. Lara uses that insight to this day in litigating matters, negotiating with defense counsel, and trying cases.
