Charlottesville, Virginia, 22902
We handle plaintiff's personal injury and civil litigation, estate planning and tax planning, business and intellectual property law, family law and divorce, insurance disputes, and real estate law.
Jonathan Wren, an experienced Charlottesville personal injury lawyer, has developed a reputation as a tireless and tenacious advocate for his clients. With courtroom experience in both state and federal courts, Jonathan built his reputation by handling difficult cases that other attorneys refused to handle, such as hotly contested premises liability and personal injury cases or cases involving serious and complex injuries.
For his efforts, Jonathan was first recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine in personal injury litigation, an honor reserved for just 2.5% of the eligible practicing attorneys in Virginia. Jonathan has since been recognized as a Super Lawyer numerous times. Jonathan has extensive experience in personal injury and wrongful death claims. Many of the cases involve complicated injuries, such as burn injuries, chemical inhalation injuries, nerve damage and injuries, brain injuries, and other injuries that are outside of common ailments following accidents.
In addition, Jonathan has obtained favorable results for clients under difficult factual scenarios, such as cases involving animals, pedestrians, unsafe buildings, and a wide variety of unique vehicular matters. When asked to identify his favorite part of practicing law, Jonathan answers without hesitation: building relationships with his clients. Jonathan takes a hands-on approach to handling each and every personal injury case he accepts and his clients are comforted that Jonathan is intimately involved at every stage of every case — from intake to investigation, from negotiation with insurance companies to settlement or litigation of their matter. Jonathan values the relationships he establishes with his clients, and he is proud to become and remain friends with his clients even years after legal representation ends.
Not every aspect of Jonathan’s practice involves fighting for injured clients, however. Jonathan also represents clients in estate and probate litigation and commercial litigation. Last but not least, Jonathan has also handled dozens of adoption cases for families, a practice that he cherishes and continues to develop.
Finally, Jonathan represents Albemarle County in its efforts to collect delinquent real estate taxes. Despite his heavy work schedule, Jonathan still finds time to contribute to the community. He is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, a member of his local Ruritan Club, he serves as the assistant coach of the St. Anne Belfield’s varsity soccer teams, and he has served on the board of directors of several local charities.
And, with all of these activities, Jonathan still finds time to play soccer, strum on his banjo, go fishing, and spend time with his wife, Robin, and two children.
