More About Andrew S. Trexler

I first want to say I really love my job. I get to spend my day either helping decent people free themselves of the stress and pain that comes with overwhelming debt, protecting them from unscrupulous creditors and debt collectors, or walking my clients through the maze of immigration laws and regulations to lawful status, permanent residency or citizenship. It’s a joy and a privilege to do this work.

During over a decade practicing bankruptcy law, I’ve been fortunate to have helped my clients navigate through more than 2,000 chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcies, in addition to obtaining settlements for many who were illegally harassed about paying a debt after filing for bankruptcy protection. I started practicing immigration law right out of law school, and I’ve helped obtain employment- and family-based immigration and citizenship benefits for scores of clients. In addition to my daily practice, I’ve been honored to teach at legal education seminars on a wide variety of topics, from Chapter 13 modifications, to immigration-related employer sanctions, to law office management.

I’m not a Colorado native, but I grew up here. I graduated from CU-Boulder in 2002, with a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies and Anthropology, and received my J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2007. Following law school, my family – Brooke, Soren and Mimi – and I moved back to the Denver area, where I first practiced immigration law with Ann Allott. Prior to starting this firm, I was Managing Attorney for the Law Offices of Sharon W. Grossenbach, where I oversaw the legal side of a preeminent consumer bankruptcy firm.

When I’m not working, I love spending time with Brooke and my kids (the human and dog varieties), running, skiing, trying new beers and reading about science, politics and history.
