Joanna also advises individuals and small businesses on employment practices, separation agreements, and non-compete agreements.

Before forming TGH Litigation, Joanna served as the Chief Counsel of the Medicaid Provider Fraud Division of the Missouri Attorney General's Office. In that role, she oversaw criminal and civil prosecutions for Medicaid fraud and patient abuse. Prior to working in the Medicaid Provider Fraud Division, Joanna was a Team Leader in the Civil Litigation Division of the Missouri Attorney General's Office.

There, she defended the state in all types of civil litigation including employment discrimination, civil rights cases, constitutional challenges, and contract disputes. At the Missouri Attorney General's Office, Joanna tried cases in federal and state courts throughout Missouri. In addition, she developed expertise in Medicaid regulations and compliance and has worked extensively with the Missouri Medicaid Audit and Compliance Unit and other state officials at MO HealthNet and the Department of Health and Senior Services.

Before joining the Attorney General's Office, Joanna was a litigation associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton, and Garrison, LLP in New York City. There, she worked on securities fraud, white collar criminal defense, and wage and hour litigation. In addition to her work as a lawyer, Joanna also serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Mizzou Hillel and has served on the Missouri Bar Association and Missouri Supreme Court’s Joint Commission on Women in the Legal Profession. Joanna is also an arbitrator for employment arbitration matters through the American Arbitration Association (AAA).
