In his role as a Rush Moore LLP partner, Mr. Chinen focuses his practice on litigation of all types, including aviation liability, premises liability, products liability, discrimination complaints, homeowners/condominium association litigation, commercial litigation, construction defects, lease rent negotiations, arbitrations, and collection actions. Mr. Chinen has also represented insurers on coverage issues and in declaratory judgment actions. His experience includes jury trials, bench trials, court-mandated and private arbitrations, and mediations. He has also argued before the Hawaii Supreme Court. Mr. Chinen has also served as an arbitrator in the State of Hawaii Court Annexed Arbitration Program.
Mr. Chinen graduated with distinction from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1987, he graduated from the University of Washington School of Law and immediately joined Rush Moore LLP A Limited Liability Law Partnership. He became a partner in 1994.
