Mr. Dreyfuss, a 1974 graduate of UCLA and a 1977 graduate of the UCLA School of Law (where he was a member of the Law Review), is an AV rated attorney (highest ranking for legal ability and ethics) with more than 40 years’ experience handling real property and business litigation matters.
Mr. Dreyfuss has successfully handled numerous matters on behalf of real property owners and purchasers concerning non-disclosure, specific performance, real estate commission disputes, boundary and neighbor conflicts, easements, and other real estate issues. Mr. Dreyfuss has handled several partition lawsuits concerning ownership disputes among joint owners of real property. He has extensive experience in collection matters and in obtaining the appointment of receivers for real property security.
Mr. Dreyfuss has particular expertise in addressing foreclosure and secured lending disputes, having successfully represented borrowers, lenders, trustees, and purchasers in a variety of such cases for more than three decades. Mr. Dreyfuss has successful appellate experience in major precedent setting real estate cases before the California Supreme Court, the 9th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and all California Courts of Appeal. He has been selected to draft "friends of the court" amicus curae briefs to the court of appeal on behalf of the California Trustee's Association. He is a member of the Business Litigation and Real Estate Sections of the Orange County Bar Association.
Mr. Dreyfuss has written articles for the California Trustee's Association, the United States Foreclosure Network, and Handel on the Law, has appeared as an expert witness on foreclosure issues, and has led seminars for creditor groups, real estate professionals, and consumers on various real estate sales and foreclosure issues. He is admitted to practice before all California State and Federal Courts.
