In 1999, Leah graduated summa cum laude from UNLV with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science. In law school, she was Editor-in-Chief of the Nevada Law Journal and judicial extern to United States District Court Judge Phillip Pro. She graduated summa cum laude from UNLV's law school in 2002. At graduation, she was recognized as the William S. Boyd Outstanding Graduate.
