Tammy Scelfo is a partner in the Lafayette office of Kean Miller. She joined the firm in 2020 and practices with the business, corporate and real estate group. She is one of Acadiana’s leading business attorneys, assisting clients with all manner of corporate entity formations, commercial loan transactions, real estate matters, title issuance, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and divestitures.
Tammy represents borrowers as well as lenders in matters involving financing projects including real estate construction, vessel construction and equipment and inventory and accounts receivable-based lending and borrowing. She also represents real estate developers in a wide array of projects and handles the negotiation and documentation of real estate transactions, including sales and leasing, as well as the issuance of title insurance.
Her practice includes representation of business owners in the formation and restructuring of business entities, counseling clients in relation to general business matters, negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts, as well as representation of both purchasers and sellers in merger and acquisition transactions.
In addition, Tammy has experience in healthcare industry transactions, regulatory advice and contracts, including but not limited to physician recruitment agreements, physician employment agreements, sales of practices, advice regarding physicians departing practice groups, non-compete agreements, mergers and acquisitions of hospitals, business formation, fraud and abuse issues, and general healthcare matters.
