Will Huguet is a partner in the Shreveport office of Kean Miller. He joined the firm in 2014 and practices in the oil and gas and energy litigation groups. Will has more than seventeen years of experience assisting energy companies in the exploration and production of minerals, including sales and acquisitions, lease and contract rights, title, due diligence, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, and litigation. Will also represents landowners and companies in selling and purchasing property and managing their mineral, royalty and property interests.
Will also assists with filing and perfecting liens under the Louisiana Oil Well Lien Act, both onshore and offshore, and works with Kean Miller's bankruptcy attorneys in energy cases to assist in protecting our clients' rights under their agreements and applicable state laws and regulations.
In addition, Will assists clients with corporate and estate planning matters. Prior to law school, Will was a professional landman in Lafayette, Louisiana. After law school, he served as a law clerk to the Honorable Donald E. Walter of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
