Maritza Gamboa hails from Laredo, Texas but she was raised in Lubbock, Texas since the age of five years old. She is also actively involved in the Lubbock community with the South Plains Food Bank Kids Café Program where for the last 6 years she has coached and prepared kids to finish a one-mile fun run at the Lubbock Arts Festival. She also helps with the Toys for Tots, Race for the Cure, Hispanic Association of Women to provide college scholarships for deserving women.
