He has excellent reviews on AVVO and Google. He handles a variety of cases including automobile accident, personal injury, and workers’ compensation matters. He also handles criminal, DUI's, driving on a suspended license, and traffic ticket litigation defense.

He represents Complainants and Respondents at Protective Order and Peace Order hearings. He regularly handles Motor Vehicle Administration hearings to prevent the suspension of his clients’ drivers licenses. Mr. Scherr is an active member of the Baltimore County Bar Association and is the former Chair of the Lawyer Referral Committee and has written articles for The Advocate, the Baltimore County Bar Association newsletter, as well as Trial Reporter, a publication by the Maryland Association for Justice.

He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Maryland Association for Justice. He has also completed the MICPEL Nine Day Trial Advocacy course. He has written amicus briefs on behalf of the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association (now known as the Maryland Association for Justice). For 34 years, Mr. Scherr has been a member of the J. Dudley Digges Inn of Court in Baltimore City, an organization where prominent lawyers and judges from all over the State of Maryland meet monthly to discuss issues in the practice of law. He was honored by that organization as Pupil of the Year in 1992-1993. He has also participated in mock appellate arguments, mock arbitrations, and numerous other presentations at the Inn.

Mr. Scherr has also lectured on topics relating to handling personal injury cases at the Nuts and Bolts of Civil Practice in the District Court for Baltimore City seminar sponsored by the Young Lawyer’s Division of the Bar Association of Baltimore City. Mr. Scherr grew up in Pikesville and still lives there today with his wife, a paraeducator employed by Baltimore County Public Schools, and two daughters who attend the University of Maryland College Park and Washington College.
