I first got the desire to become a MN Bankruptcy Lawyer while doing a year of AmeriCorps service after college. I was working with low-income individuals that struggled to understand and navigate the legal system—whether it was a criminal offense, a dispute with a landlord or an immigration matter, these clients had little resources to turn to.
I grew up in St. Paul, MN in a family that valued education and service to others. I come from a long line of teachers and social workers. My parents made financial sacrifices so my sister and I could attend the private school down the block. I worked throughout high school and always held down more than one job in college.
After law school I went to work for Volunteer Lawyers Network, a legal services non-profit, as the inaugural Nancy C. Dreher bankruptcy fellow and worked to promote access to bankruptcy for low-income Minnesotans. Now I focus exclusively on Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy.
I can easily put myself in my client’s shoes when it comes to overwhelming student loan debt and unexpected medical bills. I can relate to the stress debt can cause and hope I can be part of the solution to relieve your stress and get you back on solid ground.
I live in Minneapolis with my boyfriend. I love traveling yearly to Miami and Grand Marais, swimming, trying new restaurants and bargain hunting.
