Mike is from Atlanta, Georgia, but his family moved to Bay St. Louis before Hurricane Katrina while Mike was in high school. He spent many summers growing up in Bay St. Louis at his grandfather’s home on the bayou. He graduated from Bay High School in the Katrina class of 2006 and continued his studies at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.
At Spring Hill, Mike became involved in campus ministry, Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, the Rugby Football Club, and many other great organizations. He enlisted in the Air Force Reserve during his time at Spring Hill and deployed in support of operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom in 2009-2010. Mike graduated Spring Hill in 2011.
Mike has continuously served in the 403d Wing of the Air Force Reserve since 2007. He has remained enlisted in the field of aircraft avionics and currently services aircraft flown by the Hurricane Hunters 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, the Flying Jennies 815th Airlift Squadron, and the 36th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron.
After Spring Hill, Mike returned to Mississippi to attend Ole Miss for Law School. In Law School, Mike excelled academically, serving on the law journal, the trial advocacy board, and graduating in the top 25% of his class.
After law school, Mike began to work for Pat at Sheehan Law Firm, handling bankruptcies and consumer litigation. He and Pat entered a partnership in 2020 as the firm became Sheehan and Ramsey. Mike continues to handle bankruptcies and consumer litigation as well as a variety of other areas of practice. He currently serves on the Local Rules Advisory Committee which is made up of fifteen lawyers from the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi to discuss changes to the local bankruptcy rules. Mike is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and has graduated from Max Gardner’s prestigious “Bankruptcy Bootcamp” – a program conducted by the most renowned consumer bankruptcy lawyer that advocates for debtors’ rights in bankruptcy.
