Originally from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Jared A. Kobs earned his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2004. Prior to law school, Jared attended the University of Mississippi where he received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in investment analysis. While in law school, Jared received two American Jurisprudence awards - one in Pre-Trial Practice and one in Legal Research and Writing.
Jared spent the first year of his legal career serving as a Law Clerk for Mississippi Supreme Court Justice Michael K. Randolph. Upon completion of his judicial clerkship, Jared joined the firm of Stamps & Stamps, a minority plaintiff's firm. In 2006, he opened Kobs Law Firm, PLLC, and shortly thereafter, became a founding partner of Kobs & Philley, PLLC, with Benjamin N. Philley.
Since the inception of his practice, Jared has helped clients obtain tens of millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts in a wide variety of civil litigation.
