Brandon’s practice consists primarily of representing individuals who have been injured through the actions of others and those whose civil rights have been violated by law enforcement. Brandon has twice argued and won before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in the cases of Brooks v. City of West Point, Mississippi and Jacob Cooper v. Lynn Brown. Brandon’s argument in Cooper v. Brown helped to firmly establish that law enforcement could not use a canine officer on a non-resisting, non-threatening suspect simply because the suspect was not yet handcuffed.
