More About Brad Bishop

Brad started law school with the intention of representing big corporations. As a graduate in the top five-percent of his University of Oklahoma School of Law class, Brad landed his first job with a large law firm representing national insurance companies.

He travelled throughout the United States handling complex insurance defense claims and litigating complicated cases. Almost immediately, Brad realized his heart was in representing the victims, not the corporations, whose concerns were to increase profit margins, not to accurately determine negligence, improve safety or help the accident victims. He had not chosen a law career to save corporations money and he soon directed his career to helping those in need. Brad, therefore, joined forces with Tim Hayes to help accident victims recover damages from the very companies he once represented.

During his role as an insurance defense lawyer, Brad gained considerable insight into insurance company methods for doing business and settling claims. His experience as an insurance defense lawyer is a valuable asset in his representation of injury victims today. Brad’s dedication to people in need expands beyond the law firm's doors. Brad and his family attend Forest Park Baptist Church, where Brad serves as a deacon, a Sunday school teacher, and an AWANA game time leader. He also serves on the board of directors for Life Choices Medical Clinic and Resource Center.

Brad and his wife Jill have lived in Joplin since 1998. They chose to raise their four children in Joplin because of its community emphasis. This sense of community and purpose is at the core of Brad’s philosophy in his legal practice. His clients are his neighbors and he truly cares about helping them regain health and quality of life after an automobile crash.
