Your estate plan should be about you, your family, and your business. Your needs are varied and constantly evolving, so you need an attorney who will help you design, execute, maintain, and, ultimately, carry-out your unique plan.
Andrew Deaver is Partner at AKC Law and licensed to practice in the states of Nebraska and Iowa. His down-to-earth approach to estate planning is to build a long-term relationship with each client that allows him to understand their goals and gain a full understanding of their objectives and concerns. Andy is genuinely concerned about his client’s future, and out of this concern grew an expertise in creating Supplemental Special Needs Trusts. Parents of a child with special needs have more to consider than other parents, and Andy helps them develop a plan that provides for a lifetime of legal, financial, medical, and educational needs.
His understanding of business law is very extensive. Andy is adept at assisting clients with business formation. Whether you are starting a sole proprietorship, partnership, LLC, or even a non-profit, he can help you with the organization, structure, and contracts necessary for your business to succeed and grow.
Andy received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, in 2005. After working in research for a few years, he went back to school and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Creighton University’s School of Law in 2010. Andy believes that chemistry and the law are similar – in that they are both complicated and require a step-by-step plan to achieve the desired results.
Andy is a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners – a nationwide network of attorneys an financial planners who provide special needs planning services to families and organizations. He is also a member of the Omaha Estate Planning Council and serves on the Meritas Young Lawyer Advisory Board.
Being active in the community is important to Andy, and he regularly volunteers his time to counsel veterans through SCORE, a small business mentoring program. He is also an active member of Center Sphere, a regional professional networking organization.
