Attorney
Passaic, New Jersey, 07055
My name is Santo V. Artusa, Jr. I am a lawyer based in Jersey City, New Jersey and you should hire me as your lawyer because I have been through the battles of family court myself and I have seen how other legal matters affect families directly. I learned critical aspects of debate and negotiation while enrolled in a coveted study abroad at Oxford University in England. At Oxford, I was a member of the Oxford Union which is one of the world's leading debate societies. I use those skills and my knowledge of the law everyday.
I have been featured on NBC for my expertise in legal matters. I am the owner and founder of the Artusa Law Firm. Before I became an attorney in Jersey City, I learned how to fight and deal with the ups and downs of going through family law issues in family court and other legal matters. It was hard but I learned from the experience and fought through it and won. I personally know it is not easy and it requires: determination, persistence, positive thinking, money and a lawyer to help you navigate the difficult family law, criminal law, divorce law and personal injury-civil courts. This is important to a potential client because I know how it feels and you are not just another number to me, you are a person that needs legal help in difficult practice areas. Trust me, I know.
The goal of my firm is to provide the best legal representation for every case we are hired for in New Jersey. We handle many different aspects of litigation in New Jersey including family law, divorce, annulments, personal injury cases, child custody, child support, restraining order matters, criminal law/criminal defense, landlord-tenant cases, civil litigation, estate planning and will creation. I have been selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star and rated 10 out of 10 by Avvo for providing the best effort I can for each case. I am active in the community formerly coaching youth soccer and serving as a volunteer attorney for the New Jersey State Bar Association Military Personnel and Veterans in New Jersey. I believe the best way to give back to your community is not to write a check but to get your boots on the ground and help.
I was born and raised in North Lawrence, New York, which is in the Five Towns Area of Long Island. My parents immigrated to the United States from Italy in the 1960s. From my parents, I learned to be candid, humble, respectful, self-made and to be extremely hard working.I have always been known for telling it how it is, even if it may not be what you want to hear. I know what it is like to be in family court, I know what it is like to work hard and during difficult times, feel like little progress is being made. I know, you must keep fighting, you must keep trying, you must keep your head up and try to improve and not let current hurdles from deterring your long term plan and goals, whether in a court case or in life. Many of my clients appreciate my candid approach and my ability to understand their specific situations. The best lawyer client relationship is an honest and real one
