Elizabeth Candido Petite is a member of Lindabury’s Wills, Trusts and Estates practice group where she concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning and administration and tax law. Elizabeth is experienced in preparing estate planning documents including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney and advance directives for health care.
Elizabeth also has experience creating and funding family limited liability companies and other corporate structures to transfer personal wealth and family businesses to the next generations. She offers practical solutions to problems, large and small, so that her clients have confidence that their assets are transferred in accordance with their wishes, both during their lifetime and upon death. Elizabeth has experience in elder law, special needs planning and guardianships.
Elizabeth also advises fiduciaries at all stages of the administration of trusts and estates. She utilizes her knowledge of tax laws and procedure to achieve tax-efficient results in controversies before the IRS and state taxing authorities. She also works with fiduciaries and beneficiaries on all types of non-tax issues that arise in the course of administration, such as probating wills and accountings. Elizabeth serves as a panelist for the Union County Probate Early Settlement Panel.
Elizabeth is a member of the Board of Directors of DMF Youth, Inc., a dance, fitness and life skill development program for underserved children in New York City.
Elizabeth is an active member of Lindabury’s Women’s Business Initiative program.
