Joel Fremstad founded the firm in 2008 with the vision of creating a practice that is capable of doing more than simply finding legal solutions, but also of having the wisdom and care to develop relationships with clients and to provide a more thoughtful, meaningful experience.
Before founding Fremstad, Joel was a partner at one of North Dakota’s largest law firms for nearly 10 years where he gained experience in employment law, business litigation, and collections. He went on to become General Counsel and Vice President of Human Resources for a privately held real estate and venture capital business with extensive small business holdings. Joel was able to put the knowledge he garnered from his career to extremely good use when he founded Fremstad Law. This included his experience of starting and acquiring businesses and the complex associated challenges, as well as his direct work as a business owner and business attorney. His practice areas today include real estate, mergers and acquisitions, business formation, business/partnership disputes, contract, collections, and personal injury.
