Pete grew up in Williston. He received his undergraduate degree as well as his law degree at the University of North Dakota. After graduating from law school, Pete moved back to Williston to start his career. After serving in private practice and later serving as the Williams County State's Attorney's Office, in 2004 Pete established the Furuseth Law Firm, now known as Furuseth Olson & Evert, PC.
Pete specializes in real estate title opinions, estate planning and probate administration, oil and gas, municipal law, and civil litigation.
Pete is the main city attorney for the City of Williston and also acts as city attorney for Epping. In addition, he is a tribal judge for MHA Tribal Court.
in his free time, Pete enjoys being around his wife, Laurie, daughters - Greta Pennington and Maren Furuseth, and his grandchildren, Sawyer and Rowyn. Pete also loves spending time in Big Sky, Montana where he owns a condo.
