Michael is an experienced attorney concentrating in the areas of employment litigation and employment law counseling for clients. He handles matters spanning the full range legal issues, including claims of discrimination and harassment, wage and hour disputes, whistleblower claims, and review and negotiation of employment contracts and severance agreements.
Michael also represents clients with medical leave issues and unemployment benefits claims. In addition to employment matters, Michael has extensive experience handling personal injury claims, contract disputes, and general civil litigation matters.
Michael represents clients before federal and state courts in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, arbitrators, and administrative agencies, including the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training.
Michael is a graduate of Western New England University, where he received a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in Criminal Justice and Psychology. He is also a graduate of Roger Williams School of Law. Michael is a member of the bars of the State of Rhode Island and Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of Rhode Island, the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Rhode Island. Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenn, and three children, Genevieve, David, and Peter.
