Naveed Mahboobian has practiced in all areas of civil litigation, in many jurisdictions throughout the country. He has worked on numerous mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals, appearing in state and federal courts.
Representing plaintiffs as well as defendants, Mr. Mahboobian has successfully helped a variety of clients avoid lawsuits, defend against claims, and recover judgments and settlements. Mr. Mahboobian represents production companies, entertainers, entrepreneurs, business owners, developers, nonprofit foundations, and people who have never needed the services of a lawyer before. Some of Mr. Mahboobian’s representative matters include entertainment and intellectual property disputes, first amendment cases, real estate and construction matters, constitutional rights issues, and Freedom of Information Act lawsuits.
Outside of litigation, Mr. Mahboobian has extensive experience as a transactional attorney. He regularly negotiates and drafts contracts for entertainment, real estate, and business matters, and draws from his experience as a litigator in crafting language for contracts in order to help prevent any future legal disputes.
Mr. Mahboobian was one of only ten students in his law class school to earn an emphasis in entertainment law at Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law, where he now serves as the Vice Chair of the School of Law's Alumni Board. Prior to law school, Mr. Mahboobian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles. In his free time, Mr. Mahboobian enjoys singing and photography, and is an avid martial-artist.
Mr. Mahboobian was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
