Automobile Accidents - My Personal Experience
I bring a personal understanding and insight to my cases, as well as to the mediation table and courtroom. At the age of fourteen, in the middle of the afternoon, an intoxicated driver swerved into my father's lane and hit our vehicle head-on. The accident ultimately took my father's life and nearly took mine. I spent a month in ICU with a hospital bill totaling nearly a million dollars. The at-fault driver had very little coverage and the outcome was devastating to my family.
So, at my law firm, I do not view automobile accidents with a dollar sign in mind, as I often see depicted by law firms on television, or simply as a file. I have been where my clients have been and know the struggles they are facing. I have also been in other, less serious accidents, as well. I understand the physical, financial and emotional toll any accident can take on a victim. Simply dealing with an insurance company can be overwhelming. Insurance companies always have an agenda, and the only goal in mind is paying out the least amount of money possible. That is where I come in. I have been a Myrtle Beach accident attorney for over 11 years and have helped over a thousand clients recover millions of dollars, and ultimately, receive the justice they deserve.
My Education and Prior Legal Experience
I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina in 2000. I attended my first year of law school at Western Michigan University in 2003, where I earned the Certificate of Merit in Contracts I and Contracts II and was the school's Sol Seigel Award winner for 2003. After finishing in the top 5% of my class, I sought to transfer closer to home. I was accepted to Vanderbilt University Law School and the University of South Carolina School of Law. My love for South Carolina led this Lugoff, South Carolina native, back to the University of South Carolina. I earned my Juris Doctor and passed the Bar Exam in 2006.
I have had the privilege to spend my entire carer representing injury victims and those charged with a crime. I was blessed to work under three reputable and knowledgable attorneys over my first 11 years, who have imparted a great deal of knowledge and wisdom. In December 2017, I felt God's call to begin a solo career and opened Will Parker Law, LLC. The firm's emphasis is always being professional, accessible, and of course, achieving results. I limit my practice to Personal Injury, Criminal Law, Workers' Compensation, Social Security Disability, and Wills.
