More About Adam H. Johnson

Adam H. Johnson is an Associate Attorney at Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz, where he practices civil litigation in the area of personal injury. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from UCLA in 2003, summa cum laude, and he began practicing law in 2008 after obtaining his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Bernice B. Donald, then of the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, and as a member of both the University of Memphis Law Review and the University of Memphis Moot Court Board. Mr. Johnson and his partner won the University of Memphis Advanced Moot Court Competition in 2006, and he also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Civil Rights in 2007.

At NST, Mr. Johnson handles cases that include car accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, premises liability, and Jones Act matters (a federal law that protects workers injured at sea). More specifically, he litigates cases on behalf of clients in disputes with insurance companies. In each case, he helps clients understand and navigate through the litigation process, including answering written discovery, taking depositions of the parties, witnesses, and experts, and taking the case to trial if a resolution has not been reached. At NST, Mr. Johnson has successfully tried cases in various counties across West Tennessee and North Mississippi.

Additionally, Mr. Johnson is an active member in the Memphis legal community. He is a graduate of the Memphis Bar Association (MBA) Leadership Forum Class of 2012-2013, and he was elected to the MBA Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Board of Governors in the fall of 2013 where he served as Secretary/Treasurer in 2015, Vice President in 2016, and President in 2017. He now currently serves on the Board of Governors for the MBA. Mr. Johnson was also named an “Attorney for Justice” by the Tennessee Supreme Court in recognition of his pro bono service in the community, and he was awarded a Memphis Bar Association Access to Justice Award in 2014. He was a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law Class of 2016. He was also awarded the Sam A. Myar, Jr. Memorial Award in December 2019, which is given each year to an attorney who is 40 years old or younger and who has rendered outstanding personal service to the legal profession and the Memphis community. Mr. Johnson is admitted to practice law in Tennessee and Mississippi, and he is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Memphis Bar Association, Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, and serves on the executive committee for the American Inn of Court, Leo Bearman, Sr. Chapter.
