Timothy O. Wilson is a dedicated and compassionate attorney who practices in the firm’s Automobile Accident Practice Group. Since joining Nahon, Saharovich & Trotz in 2014, Mr. Wilson has focused his practice primarily in the area of personal injury law and, more specifically, automobile accidents. In 2015, and again in 2016, Mr. Wilson was named as a Rising Star by Law & Politics magazine. He enjoys practicing personal injury law because it gives him the opportunity to assist individuals and families through a very stressful time in their lives and help them to get the relief they need to put their lives back in order. Until a person has seen firsthand, he or she often does not realize how much an injury can disrupt every aspect of the victim and their family’s lives.
Mr. Wilson attended the University of Mississippi on a full scholarship and earned his Bachelor of Arts in History in 2002. Following his undergraduate education, Mr. Wilson took a year off from his academic pursuits to hike Appalachian Trail where he put the skills he learned as an Eagle Scout to good use. During his educational hiatus, he also served as the director of the Aquatics program at Camp Sequoyah with the Boy Scouts of America. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2006. Mr. Wilson has been licensed to practice law in Tennessee since 2006.
While in law school, Mr. Wilson discovered that he wanted to dedicate his knowledge and skill as an attorney to assisting individuals in their time of need. After graduating from law school, he began his legal career as an attorney with the Memphis Fair Housing Center, a nonprofit organization that provides free legal services to indigent residents of the Memphis and Shelby County area. While with the Memphis fair Housing Center, he focused his practice in the areas of consumer law and civil rights. As an attorney with the Memphis Fair Housing Center, Mr. Wilson successfully litigated cases against abusive and discriminatory landlords and predatory lenders in both federal and state courts.
Mr. Wilson is active in the local legal community. He is a member of both the Tennessee Bar Association and Memphis Bar Association, and he enjoys assisting Memphians through the free legal advice clinics that are organized throughout the area by the Memphis Bar Association and Memphis Area Legal Services. In addition, Mr. Wilson has taught multiple continuing legal education classes.
Mr. Wilson was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama where he learned his work ethic by working for his parents’ family business at a young age. Since graduating from law school, Mr. Wilson has made his home in Memphis, Tennessee with his wife and two children, where they are members of Christ the King Lutheran Church. In his free time, Mr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his family and attending his children’s sporting events as well as participating in multiple outdoor pursuits including trail running, mountain biking, backpacking, and taking his dog Colonel Sanders on walks.
