I am a personal injury attorney in St George, Utah. My wife, Jan, and I have five children and twelve grandchildren. Jan has worked as my Legal Administrator and Paralegal for the past 34 years. Prior to moving to St George in 2010 our practice was in Sandy, Utah.

My reported cases include: Jenkins v. U.S.F.G., 962 P.2d 796 (Utah 1998), a landmark case in the law of arbitration, which has been cited by over 100 treatises, learned journals and appellate cases, including International Arbitration Law and Practice, Domke on Commercial Arbitration, Arbitrage International: Droit et Pratique, Corbin on Contracts, and Couch on Insurance. In the Jenkins case, I helped set a legal precedent when I forced an insurance company to keep its agreement. 

After USF&G broke its agreement to arbitrate, I sued. When the trial judge refused to enforce the agreement, I appealed to the Utah Supreme Court where the Justices agreed with me. The trial judge was in the wrong not to enforce the agreement, they said, sending the case back to the trial judge so justice could be done. The case later settled during mediation for five times what had been offered before the appeal. I have published over 50 articles in print and digital media on personal injury subjects, including How to Prepare Your Personal Injury Case for Trial, Utah Bar Journal (1998), and Zipline Injuries on the Rise (Utah Trial Journal 2017.) 

High profile clients, cases, and projects include Richard Worthington AC/DC case Fen-Phen diet drug litigation I have successfully brought claims against the State of Utah, heavy metal rock band AC/DC, Fortune 500 company Amoco Oil, State Farm Insurance, Walmart, the United States Government and many other large corporations and government entities. I have received numerous settlements in excess of $500,000 and my largest settlement to date was in excess of three million dollars.
