Levi Pellegrin was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from the University of Arizona, where he played collegiate lacrosse and was an All-Conference Freshman. He also studied abroad at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, where he studied European and Irish history. Levi holds Irish and American citizenship.
While on a gap year in Charleston, West Virginia, he was involved in several environmental and climate advocacy organizations, including Citizens’ Climate Lobby, Citizen Action Group, and Energy Efficient West Virginia. He then attended WVU College of Law, where he was president of the West Virginia Association for Justice Student Chapter. Levi was the co-founder of the first consumer law student group, served as its president, and was awarded the inaugural student fellowship from the Center for Consumer Law and Education. In his third year, he worked as a student attorney for the WVU Child and Family Law Advocacy Clinic.
Levi also competed his way to a spot on the law school’s Moot Court team. He represented WVU at the National Employment & Labor Law Moot Court Competition and the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition, where he led WVU to the quarterfinals and won Best Oralist in one of the earlier rounds. Because of his accomplishments on Moot Court and other trial competitions in which he competed, Levi was named to the Order of Barristers, a national honorary established in 1965. The Order is highly selective and provides national recognition to the top advocates at their respective law schools.
Levi interned with the West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy in Charleston. He also clerked for one semester with the Honorable Michael J. Aloi, Federal Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of West Virginia.
During his final year in Morgantown, Levi was a captain of the WVU Men’s Lacrosse team. He led the 2019 Mountaineers to their first winning record since 2004. On the very last play of the season, Levi scored the game-winning goal in sudden-death overtime against archrival Pitt.
Now an Associate Attorney at the Skinner Law Firm, Levi’s work concentrates on personal injury and consumer protection law with a focus on the West Virginia Consumer Credit & Protection Act and the federal Fair Debt Collection & Protection and Fair Credit Reporting Act.
