More About Jeremy Donham

Jeremy Donham has a practice focused in the field of Employee Disability Discrimination, Family Medical Leave Act Violations and HIPAA Privacy litigation. Jeremy also assists individuals who have been injured by the negligence of others.

Jeremy is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania and West Virginia State Courts. He is also admitted to all Federal District Courts in Pennsylvania including the Middle District Federal Court in Harrisburg, the Western District Federal Court in Pittsburgh and the Eastern District Federal Court in Allentown and Philadelphia. Jeremy is also admitted to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Jeremy has access to other State and Federal Courts through local collaborative counsel arrangements and by special admission.

Jeremy gives personal attention to his clients by providing technologically based client interaction portals where clients can view and upload their documents, get quick updates on their case and maintain a personal connection with Jeremy and his staff at all times. Jeremy endeavors to develop an initial strategy that enables the client to participate in their case through planning, project budgeting, and time tables. Jeremy also works holistically with certain clients to resolve conflict quickly and obtain a resolution that enables them to move on with their lives rather than being stuck in litigation hell for years. In this sense, Jeremy applies an aggressive approach to the matter while working through channels to bring peace to the conflict and help the client put their struggle in the “rear view mirror” as he calls it. This enables clients to “have their day” while avoiding the inevitable risks and expense that protracted periods of litigation sometimes bring.

Jeremy specializes in Disability Discrimination issues for a very special reason. His daughter, Ashley, had a difficult and disabling condition and ultimately lost her battle. Near the time Jeremy and his family were struggling with her medical issues Jeremy himself was discriminated against and had to face the difficulty of a job termination as well as dealing with his family crisis. This ordeal has informed Jeremy’s decision to accept the challenges of other individuals that are faced with difficult and disabling conditions in the workplace. Jeremy knows what it feels like to be discriminated against and this gives him a compassion for his clients that many clients have said they were not used to experiencing with other lawyers.

Jeremy also conducts alternative dispute resolution for other lawyers as well as families, churches, and in elder care and disability related issues. He has also served in the evaluation of ethical and end of life issues. His Mediation and Conciliation work focuses on getting beneath the perceived issues affecting people to the core of the real problem underlying many litigious issues or matters involving churches and families. Jeremy states that “so many times people just need a calm and reassuring voice to help them feel confident that giving peace a chance can and will bring harmony and balance back into their conflicted lives and situations.”

Prior to becoming an attorney, Jeremy held banking and insurance positions, non-profit and church executive level positions including serving in pastoral positions in ministries in West Virginia, Virginia, and across the country as he spoke in various meetings and conferences on a number of topics including alcohol and drug abuse. Jeremy also has worked with Spirit of Freedom Ministries, urban and rural communities and non-profits in conjunction with United Way, Total Action against Poverty, and a variety of food pantry programs to eradicate hunger and homelessness. In addition to his law degree, Jeremy has a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Counseling and has served as a pastoral staff counselor in many settings including as an Associate in Cognitive Therapy and Pastoral Counseling.
