As an accomplished attorney and founding partner of Rich & Gutta, PLLC, Matthew S. Gutta has earned a reputation in West Virginia for his integrity and work ethic. As an esteemed litigator, Matt takes a hard-line stance to protect his client's rights when they are harmed or injured. Matt realizes the importance of connecting with his clients on a very compassionate level so that he can effectively convey their story throughout the litigation process:

“I am in a courtroom at least three times a week. And once I step into that courtroom, I no longer belong to myself. I belong to my client and my client’s cause, and that’s the bottom line. Having been born in Morgantown, Matt is a proud and native West Virginian. He is an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Morgantown High School. He continued his education at West Virginia University, graduating with the highest honors, Summa Cum Laude. Subsequently, he graduated from West Virginia University College of Law and founded Gutta Law, PLLC. As the sole and founding principal of Gutta Law, PLLC, Matt developed a firm that continues to serve clients engaging in transactional cases and matters. Matt continued as a founding partner of Rich & Gutta, PLLC, where he implemented his insight as a skilled legal negotiator and litigator. In addition to being licensed and barred in the State of West Virginia, Matt is admitted to practice in the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.
