John started Foss Law Office to focus more on personal engagement with his clients and the community.  He has focused his legal practice in the areas of Social Security Disability and Workers’ Compensation for over 6 years.  This focused approach allows him to provide clients with knowledgeable and effective representation while maintaining the personal attention they deserve.

John has personally handled hundreds of cases and represented hundreds of claimants in front of Social Security and Wisconsin Workers’ Compensation judges. He has been a member of the National Organization of Social Security Representatives (NOSSCR) and Wisconsin Association of Workers’ Compensation Attorneys (WAWCA) for several years.

John has seen how the odds can be stacked against families when they try to fight the big insurance companies and the Federal government.  John works hard to ensure that families and individuals have a dedicated advocate to help them secure the benefits they deserve.

John was born in Hudson, WI and, after living in Florida and England for several years, his family returned to Hudson, WI, where he graduated high school.  John then moved to the Twin Cities to attend college and law school.

Now, he lives just north of Hudson with his wife, three sons, and farm load of animals.  Currently, their hobby farm consists of several laying hens, a couple of horses, and a potbelly pig.  They also have a few indoor critters, including two dogs and two cats.

In his free time, John enjoys being with the family at their cabin south of Superior, woodworking, snowmobiling, and tending the hobby farm.
