Julie received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1997, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming in 1993. 

 Julie assists clients with estate planning, business, and probate needs. Prior to joining Nicholas & Tangeman in 2007, Julie practiced law in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Las Vegas, Nevada. During that time, her law practice focused on assisting high net worth individuals and business owners reduce or eliminate estate taxes by using sophisticated estate planning techniques, including family owned businesses, irrevocable trusts and a variety of charitable planning techniques. At Nicholas & Tangeman, Julie continues to offer those same services, along with real estate transactions, probate and business planning. Julie became a partner with Nicholas & Tangeman in 2015. She is licensed to practice law in Wyoming, Colorado, and Nevada. She is a member of Wealth Counsel, a membership community of more than 2,500 estate planning professionals dedicated to excellence in their professions and providing superior service to estate planning clients. 

 Julie enjoys serving her community. She serves as President of the Board of Directors for Family Promise of Albany County, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering families with children who are homeless achieve sustainable independence. In addition, Julie has served as the President of the Laramie Kiwanis Club, whose goal is to serve children. In the past, she has been a Big Sister through Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Wyoming, has served on the Hospice of Laramie Board of Directors, the Eppson Center for Seniors Foundation, and she volunteers for numerous events through the University of Wyoming College of Law. In her free time, she and her husband enjoy spending time in the mountains and cheering on the UW Cowboys and Cowgirls. She also enjoys baking, gardening, dogs, live music, scuba diving, and traveling.
